Would you murder
an orphan
for the sake of the orphanage?

Would you preach the
Prosperity Gospel
in sublime blood?

O broken world, even
your ruins
are beautiful.

I’ve grown weary
making promises
to you and yours.

I confess to being
an orphan;
We inherit horrible truths.

If I slaughter myself, let
the coroner
and the tombstone declare,

it had to be done.
